Ferrocement dome with bamboo reinforcement
In continuation with trying different types and shapes of structures in ferrocement with bamboo reinforcement, Yatharth has built yet another shell structure.

Using split bamboo to prepare the skeleton and cement mortar for the skin, the structure proved to be strong enough to hold its own weight and high speed winds. The steel used for making the structure was merely 45 KG. It also comes under the category of low cost buildings.

This shell structure has a square plan with CSEB walls till 45 CM height and is supported on RCC columns.

The structure is in its finishing stages, with flooring being laid and surfaces being treated.
